Remote Sysloging for OpenVPN-AS

I found this post from a year ago.

But didn't feel it was good to reply that old of a thread.

I found the as.conf in /usr/local/openvpn_as/etc/

I figured I just add the syslog line to the end

The rsyslog stuff I figure would be in /etc However I can't find it there.
and it appears that rsyslogd isn't installed.
Should I just install it with apt or is there another way to do this?
