Disable Admin Web UI

Post by rclarkson » Wed May 09, 2012 8:34 pm

Any idea how I could disable the admin web ui temporarily? My basic thought was to turn on and off the web admin UI page from the console. I'm using the OpenVPN appliance. (Debian GNU/Linux). I don't require access very often and would rather just have it off until required.

Thanks

The quickest way to do it is to add a blocking rule for incoming connection to the port 943.

Or invoke "/etc/init.d/lighttpd stop". Then to start use: "/etc/init.d/lighttpd start".
