Hello,
This is my first post, so please bear with me if this has been asked before... I have OpenVPN AS running on VMWARE Workstation 8.0 and ESX 5, and our connection is great but the client can stay connected forever unless I can tell the system to time them out after, say 30 minutes of inactivity...
Can I do that from with the AS console or should I be disconecting them with a script (we are using the VPN to secure a BackupPC RSYNC transfer and maybe there is a way for me to reboot the client or simply log them out... does the OpenVPN Server or Client software create timeout settings?
What should I do?
Thanks in advance for any advice! I love OpenVPN and the AS is awesome!

Re: Timeout after inactivity
You can enable OpenVPN management and disconnect client from there manually. Or use a cron job to drop clients. OpnVPN is not intended to have a mechanism to disconnect clients, but rather mantain a permanent connection.
