lync using open vpn

Post by franku » Tue May 15, 2012 7:35 pm

I have openvpn and for most part everything works..
The only issue is when I use lync to do video conferncing it give network error

At first I thought might been bandwitdh related but after a number test it points to the vpn tunnel

How do I setup openvpn to allow lync video we have no edge server and rather not use it

It is most likely Microsoft Lync's configuration problem. See this page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 25891.aspx for ports to be opened and forwarded. Also read this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/For ... 30e506168/ for any hint that can lead to correct Lync configuration.

Both link you give me refer to edge server and we do not use edge server and rather not install it.

How can I get lync video to work every other function works through vpn(im, calls, and filetransfer)
