Cannot connect to OpenVPN Web Interface

Post by Firaja » Wed Apr 18, 2012 12:56 pm

Hi everyone,
I've installed OpenVPN Access Server on my Server (91.121.173.109 with a second IP 94.23.67.7) but I can't connect to the Web GUI (https://91.121.173.109:943/admin).
I have Virtualmin installed on my system...sorry for the lack ok information but I've reinstalled openvpn-as more times but the result doesn't change

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Right off, I would suggest running /usr/local/openvpn_as/bin/ovpn-init and going through the steps to configure or reconfigure the server. Beyond that, can you provide more information? Did you use one of the pre-rolled appliance images for VMware/ESXi/Hyper-V or did you manually install the AS package into a new or existing server? If so, what platform?

I have the same problem. Installs properly. Configures properly, but no admin interface. Checking the log, I find that the Server Agent dies shortly after execution. No specifics are offered in the logs as to why that is.

In my case, I am using ubuntu 10.04 x86. Downloaded .deb rom openvpn.net . I've gone through the init script dozens of times. Same result.

Hmm, OK, is this a fresh install of Ubuntu and are there any other services that you set up post-install? Also, is there anything useful in /var/log/messages when the process crashes? You can use

Code: Select all

tail -f /var/log/messages
in another terminal and watch it as you start the ovpn service and watch it until it crashes. How long does it take the process to crash after you start it?
