OpenVPN Client Crashes, Need Troubleshooting Help

I am running OpenVPN as a client with Mullvad.net to anonymize the traffic coming from my FreeBSD box (FreeNAS to be specific). Everything works well, but OpenVPN will just stop running at what seems like random intervals, and I have to manually start it up again. Obviously, this is not okay. Any idea where I can start troubleshooting this? I can't seem to find any relevant logs, though I'm sure there's a command I can run to make OpenVPN create them...I just can't seem to figure out what it is.
