Proxy Authentication?

Post by Arturo » Fri Jul 08, 2011 12:08 pm

Hello everyone.

I was wondering whether it was possible to configure the authentication to a proxy in the client .ovpn file.

I have skimmed through both the manuals and the forum, but I have not found anything.

Probably it is not possible to do it from the .ovpn, but how can we solve this trouble to automatically connect to the proxy without asking the user for a login and a password, having them previously configured somewhere?

Thanks in advance!

There's proxy settings in the standard OpenVPN Gui. Right click the Gui icon in task bar, and select proxy settings.

Hope that helps.

Also I thinkyou can do it from the .ovpn too, because the Gui proxy setting screen has an option "Use OpenVPN configuration file settings". So I dare say that is also an option.
