Username Change

It's difficult to change usernames since the underlying account system is LDAP - it's rolled into the CN of the entry. Easiest thing is to just create a new account that isn't your email address.

Is there no other way to change username instead off creating a new account? Because that would be really better for me. I hop to get some help.

There is no way for us to change your username.

Creating a new account is often the cleanest solution, especially if the username is tied to email addresses. It avoids breaking existing bindings or workflows while keeping things simple.

Apologies for posting this on OPs thread, but 1) I can't start my own thread and 2) I can't pm a moderator directly.

@ecrist, I would like to change my email address register on this forum. I've accessed the page in the cp, but it doesn't recognise my password despite it being the same I used to sign in. Can you advise?

Alternatively please just delete/anonymise my current account.
