How to simulate a vpn disconnect and test the 'seamless tunnel' killswitch?

Hello I connect to my vpn provider via openvpn. My system is Win 1o. A week ago I had a disconnect and my pc switched to the regular connection (im certain about this!) I contacted my provider and they said that if i go into openvpn settings and enable 'seamless tunnel' it will function as a kill switch. I checked and it appeared that this was already enabled. So I'd like to run a test, Ill connect to my vpn provider and then simulate a disconnect. Can anyone suggest a way to do this? thanks
