I am having issues with the OVPN client on my new MacBook Air with M2 CPU, Ventura iOS 13.0.1. It works fine initially but when I wake the computer up later it just won't connect. I have to uninstall the OVPN Connect app, reinstall it, them import the profile again and then it works. Until the next time it doesn't work??? Meanwhile the Connect apps on my iPhone and Windows laptop work fine every time. Same VPN and same profile. Why is it repeatedly failing on my Mac and is there a solution?
The log shows the following message: Transport error: socket_protect error (UDP)
Client won't connect

Same here!
This was not happening before.
But since couple weeks ago, the solution is reinstall the Open VPN all the time

Re: Client won't connect
I also faced this issue. Reinstalling OpenVPN Connect has been the solution for me as well. It's been consistent.

Re: Client won't connect
Hi all.
The error message: Transport error: socket_protect error (UDP) usually indicates that the openvpn agent isn't running in the background.
Please consider checking the following guide in order to troubleshoot the issue:

I hope it helps.
