Hi,
I was running OpenVPN Connect (macOS) version 3.3.3. When doing Settings -> Software Update -> "Check now", OpenVPN Connect would not offer to install version 3.4.4. So I had to manually download the installer for v3.4.4 and install it in replacement of v.3.4.3. -- The same has happened to other fellow users.
Any clues why this has been the case?

We usually don't push our most recent releases of the OpenVPN Connect app via the in-app "Software Update" right away, even if it's available to download via the website. Reason is, because after release we wait some time to gather feedback from users who downloaded the new app version via the website. And if no issues are reported then we proceed with the in-app "Software Update" notification.
