Bad decrypt error on openvpn GUI but not with openvpn connect

Post by Mr_Livre » Tue Feb 07, 2023 9:53 am

Hello.
I have set a PiVPN (setup that works fine with the android app openvpn connect but on windows 11 openvpn Gui (ver 2.6.0) I have this error :

Code: Select all

Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 MANAGEMENT: CMD 'password [...]'
Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 OpenSSL: error:1C800064:Provider routines::bad decrypt
Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 OpenSSL: error:11800074:PKCS12 routines::pkcs12 cipherfinal error
Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 OpenSSL: error:1C800064:Provider routines::bad decrypt
Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 OpenSSL: error:11800074:PKCS12 routines::pkcs12 cipherfinal error
Tue Feb 7 10:39:23 2023 Cannot load private key file [[INLINE]]
Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 SIGUSR1[soft,private-key-password-failure] received, process restarting
Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 MANAGEMENT: >STATE:1675762763,RECONNECTING,private-key-password-failure,,,,,
Tue Feb  7 10:39:23 2023 Restart pause, 1 second(s)
I tried some differents profiles but the results are the same.
Do I have to inspect the server configuration or it's the client the problem?
Thanks

My user had to route the port 1194 UDP/TCP to his machine. It's weird because I have set the port to be used to 443.
And on other configurations users don't have to do this route (same ISP same router).
