Migrate auth disgest from "SHA1" to "SHA256"

Hi,

Everything works fine with "auth sha1" on both client and server.
Everything works fine with "auth sha256" on both client and server.

But I want to migrate all my clients with a transition phase. That way I don't have to modify all my users at the same time (It's impossible and I don't want my users modify it for me)

Can I have a configuration with both digest "SHA1 & SHA256" and then move only to "SHA256" later by forcing it on the server config ?
