RHEL 9 support for OpenVPN AS?

Post by ayrobotech » Thu Jun 23, 2022 1:07 am

I install Almalinux 9 (RHEL 9) and I would like to install OpenVPN Access Server on it. I'm seeing that there doesn't appear to be support for it yet. Do you know when OpenVPN AS will be available for RHEL 9 in general? I'd hate to install an older version of an OS just to get the Access Server.
Is there a place I can download the Access Server from source and build it? I couldn't find it unfortunately so far. I wouldn't mind building it if that is an option.
Best
David

Hi David,

No, Access Server is not yet available for RHEL 9. I would expect it in 2-3 months. And no, it is not available as source code. Sorry.

Hello Cristian,

Version 2.11.1 with RHEL9 support is going live today.

edit: it has gone live on the software repository already but our website updates are slightly delayed, they're coming in the next 24 hours though.

Kind regards,
Johan
