debian client error: failed to import crypto options

Post by zamek42 » Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:57 am

Hi All,

I have an:
OpenVPN 2.6_git x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] [DCO]
library versions: OpenSSL 3.0.5 5 Jul 2022, LZO 2.10
in a Debian op sys.
When I try to connect to a server, I've got an error:

Error: negotiated cipher not allowed - AES-256-CBC not in AES-256-GCM:AES-128-GCM:CHACHA20-POLY1305
2022-08-30 09:43:38 OPTIONS ERROR: failed to import crypto options

Unfortunately I don't know anything about the server.

I tried to configure as:
data-ciphers-fallback AES-128-CBC

but the same error.

How can I solve this problem?

thx,
Zamek

I don't know anything about the server.
Contact the server administrator.
