How to force client disconnect?

Post by sherwinaval » Sat Mar 05, 2011 3:24 pm

This may have been asked before but unfortunately, I was not able to find a topic where I can find answers. Admins and mods, please feel free to transfer this topic to somewhere else if this is inappropriate to this section.

From the subject itself, how do you force disconnect a client? I am wishing to create a web portal where clients can login, change their passwords, view their connectivity status and activities (without the data usage, only connect and disconnect times), and basically force disconnect their client connection if in case somebody has tried using their account.

the script should send a signal to the openvpn server and disconnect the client if it is connected. I have tried using the management interface and was able to terminate a client connection by using the kill command, I'm trying to figure out how I could make a bash script that could send the command to the management interface.

All help are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

hi there,

you can do it from management interface (if you enabled it).

a very easy way to doit is to use openvpn control...(it uses management interface).

cheers,
