Setting up VPN from Site to Laptop

Post by ScKaSx4 » Thu Apr 21, 2011 11:08 pm

Hi All,

I am a complete newbie trying to get a VPN network up and running. I was following a very good example here: ... th-openvpn

However, in this example, they are connecting a remote site (client-side) to the main office (server-side) using the routing method. I am looking to have a 'similar' setup except I would like clients to be able to VPN from the road via laptops (i.e. it is impossible to know the IP of the client-side router). In other words I won't know the IP address of the remote site (client-side) router. Yet in the example, the author uses the IP address of the client side router in several parts: ... l=&start=2 ... l=&start=3

My main question is how to achieve the same VPN (with routing) without knowing the client-side router IP address? Any help is appreciated.
