Hi all,
My VPN client is only able to upload to the VPN server at 8 kb/s
ADSL test show a good 1500/256 connection for both client and server.
This equates to real life 150kbytes down load for server, 27kbytes/s upload for client.
( note 256 kbits upload = 256/8 or 32 kbytes/s max speed, but usually 80% of this in real life )
Config for server and client has Proto UDP and comp-lzo
What is slowing it down?
OPEN VPN slow client speed

Re: OPEN VPN slow client speed
Could be a number of things. You already said it was using UDP, instead of TCP, so that's not suspect. I would check hardware processor load, and MTU. There is an MTU test option, which you may find beneficial. It's covered in the man page. Also, try disabling compression on the tunnel, you may see a speed improvement.
