What's described here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8559 Is essentially what I am trying to accomplish due to local NAT being weird(thanks ISP for that great modem ;p). Having a local, behind NAT, server connect to a remote vpn server to use as access point for the internet and thus exposing it to external connections again.
The guide describes just that, problem is, I live in 2021 where ubuntu focal is a thing and netplan, annoyingly, has found its way into that left right and center, so ifconfig no more. Being the guy who slept through networking class I now look at it with confusion as the supposed substitutes for the commands in that guide either require unknowns or don't work the same.
So any chance that guide or a new one aimed for netplan could be updated/created for folks like me stuck with an ISP too inept to configure a modem properly?
Updated guide for netplan
