Timeout when accessing IP Address

Hello, I hope someone can help.

I have an OpenVPN server in my main home using the OpenVPN server built in to my Asus ZenWiFi AC Mesh Router, I have this set to access my "Local network only", I have a static IP Address from my ISP.

On my remote computer, a laptop running Windows 10 Pro I have installed the OpenVPN Client software, I can connect to my home NAS drive ok mapped to a drive letter, there is a small delay before it connects.

The problem I have is connecting to webservers such as my home automation system which has a local static IP Address, it takes 2 cycles of timeouts before it will connect, I am using Firefox 85.0.2 as my standard web browser, I have also tried Internet Explorer and get the same delay.

Any ideas why I get this delay ?
