Hello,
is it practical to set up a site to multi-site VPN with OpenVPN, using L3 (routing)?
I have seen an example that uses an OpenVPN instance for each remote site, making it essentially a multiple site-to-site setup. But that does not seem practical when the number of remote sites is large.
I have one central site, and many remote sites (>100). The remote sites are behind NAT, so the central site cannot initiate a connection to the remote site. Each site (central and remotes) has a small subnet. Traffic per site is moderate, ~ 10 Mbits/sec.
Is this something that can be done with OpenVPN?
Thanks...
Roger

Re: Site to multi-site L3
Of course it is. But I am puzzled that I couldn't find specific examples on the web.
The book "OpenVPN Cookbook" has a section (Client-server IP-only Networks) on this.
