Ticket 605 implies, that a higher metric for the internet connection isn't sufficient, to forward all DNS queries to the VPN servers. Is block-outside-dns required for Windows 10 clients?
If the OpenVPN client crashes, is this block then removed again?
Windows 10, metrics, split tunnel

Re: Windows 10, metrics, split tunnel
--block-outside-dns puts firewall rules in place which deny any DNS queries egress to any network adapter other than the TAP adapter and thereby the VPN. The decision to use it is left to the discretion of the user ..
How can openvpn remove the block if it has crashed ?
If you can reliably crash openvpn then please submit a bug report.
