Brainpool Certificate

Has anyone ever gotten a brainpool certificate to work with openvpn? I am successfully getting everything loaded up on the server, the issue is always the client attempting to connect and the server logging that there are no shared ciphers and that I am being too restrictive. My configuration is not limiting the tls: version minimum, cipher, cipher suites, hashing algorithms, etc.

I see a client HELLO that is actually showing that brainpool curves are supported but the server is not responding because in the openvpn log it shows that there are no shared cipher suites.

My vpn connection works if I don't use brainpool certificates.
