Recursive routing issues

Post by plkw » Sun Jan 06, 2019 1:39 pm

Hi all,

I'll try to make this short.
I've configured a OpenVPN service on a Netgear Rooter that works fine but...
It only works if I use the internet connection of my phone !

If I try to make this working from my home wifi or from a friend's home network it always leads me to this recursive error :

Sun Jan 06 14:03:11 2019 Recursive routing detected, drop tun packet to [AF_INET]37.xxx.xx.xx:12974
Sun Jan 06 14:03:12 2019 Recursive routing detected, drop tun packet to [AF_INET]37.xxx.xx.xx:12974
Sun Jan 06 14:03:12 2019 Recursive routing detected, drop tun packet to [AF_INET]37.xxx.xx.xx:12974

As it seems to be linked to the internet provider/rooter I don't know if you can help on this.

However if you have any idea what should be done to solve this issue it will be greatly appreciated :)

I have been having this problem for 2 years and can not get a good answer. My android device will connect. I noticed last night the :12974 is default on the file however on my tablet it is 12973. I did edit the file and the connection was successful. I get assigned an address on the property ip address range. Now I do not have any connection on that network, but I still have internet access. So I am not sure if this helps or even helps someone else have an idea of our problem.
