For that person, the problem was inbetween the chair and the keyboard.
Yeah lol  . It's amazing how people who refuse to listen to instructions, get frustrated with customer support as if it's somehow their fault, when the problem is between the chair and the keyboard.

I have disabled all components of Comodo Internet Security and I also disabled Windows Defender Antivirus and Windows Defender Firewall, and it still didn't work.

You have disabled the parts of Commode that they let you disable ... :ugeek:

I ditched Windblows all together, Linux Rules! 8-)

I don't see the point of being a conspiracy theorist. When all the components are disabled, Comodo does not interfere with the operations of installers and running programs in any way. So if it's disabled it really is disabled, with nothing else left to disable. Also not everyone has a good use for Linux.

So given that I disabled it, do you have any ideas that can fix the error?

Uninstall it.

If that does not work then you will probably have to re-install Windblows ..
and/or make a complaint to Commode.

I uninstalled Comodo and now openvpn 2.5.0 can install with the TAP driver.
But now I have another issue. I can't connect to my vpn.

Below are the errors I get.
WARNING: Compression for receiving enabled. Compression has been used in the past to break encryption. Sent packets are not compressed unless "allow-compression yes" is also set.
DEPRECATED OPTION: --cipher set to 'AES-256-CBC' but missing in --data-ciphers (AES-256-GCM:AES-128-GCM). Future OpenVPN version will ignore --cipher for cipher negotiations. Add 'AES-256-CBC' to --data-ciphers or change --cipher 'AES-256-CBC' to --data-ciphers-fallback 'AES-256-CBC' to silence this warning.
TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity)
TLS Error: TLS handshake failed

I don't control the VPN server I'm connecting to, to be able to get the log files from the server. I'm just a mere customer, I'm not managing the VPN server and I didn't set it up. I pay money to the VPN provider and get given a .ovpn .p12 and .key file needed to connect to it.

Sorry, there is no way for us to debug a connection without the server log.
