Upgrading OpenVPN 2.1.3 > 2.4.7

Post by ConnorTaormina » Mon Jul 29, 2019 3:20 pm

Currently running OpenVPN v2.1.3 on a Windows Server 2012 R2. Is there an upgrade path to the latest version or can I upgrade straight to 2.4.7?

is that standard practice for upgrading OpenVPN?
will that delete my current certificates?
Will I have to bridge the connection between the physical ethernet and the tap driver again?

Considering that you intend to upgrade from an unsupported version of openvpn (2.1.3) and you clearly have a specifically unique setup, I would imagine that there is a fairly good chance something could go wrong ..

Good luck.
