For some reason my network adapter that was named NETGEAR-VPN disappeared. I uninstalled the TAPS adapter as well as OpenVPN and reinstalled. When I tried to rename the new TAPS adapter, it tells me that "NETGEAR-VPN" is already in use as an adapter name and it will not rename it. I've followed all guides I could find regarding viewing hidden network adapters or network adapters that are not in use.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can resolve this issue?

Re: OpenVPN Netgear Orbi Network Adapter Renaming Issues
All I can suggest is that you uninstall openvpn (which will automatically uninstall the TAP adaptor) and try installing again.
You can use the TAP adaptor with a different name, just change the name in the config file.
Also, you do not need to run openvpn as administrator any longer.
