Installing OpenVPN in Vmware

Post by ng12345 » Sat Nov 06, 2010 3:25 pm

I currently use a hacked linksys router (tomatoVPN firmwre) as my openvpn server to create site to site vpns (5 sites) as well as to allow remote users to vpn in.

Unfortunately the linksys router is having a hard time handling the workload.

I am trying to transition my openvpn server to a vmware instance (with more processing power, ram, etc).

I tried the Access Server appliance but it would require too much reconfiguration of my network to implement (also could not find dh.pem parameters or the static key within the web interface).

Is there a minimalist/efficient linux distro that people would recommend for installing the community openvpn server on?
