Hoping someone can help me out.
I have OpenVPN set up on a QNAP server. The QNAP device is at a remote location.
While home and connected to the internet via my home network, I am able to log on to the VPN from my iOS device using the OpenVPN client. The iOS device is able to log into, and access the remote QNAP device.
My desktop Mac is also able to connect to the remote VPN via the Tunnelblick client. However, the Mac is NOT able to reach the QNAP device. Typing the network address of the QNAP results in a "page not found" error in the browser. My public IP address does change when connected and I am able to access the internet. It's only the remote server that is not reachable.
When connecting, Tunnelblick give me a warning:
" • DNS server address 192.168.1.1 is not a public IP address and is not being routed through the VPN."
That's the DNS for my home network.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
noob help needed - connected but cannot access remote server
