Hello everyone (and happy new year ) !

I want to set an openVPN server on a VM with hyper-v. I set it up already (debian VM on windows server 2012 R2 host).

I did everything to set up my server, and my client (windows 10). But I can't connect. I can't ping my VM from my client (with public ip, the same as the host).

How can I manage to do it ?

Install a dynamic dns service on the vm and use the host name instead of the ip. Also your router may be capable of forwarding tcp/udp but not icmp.
