OpenVPN on ubuntu connected clients

So i have just setup a new private openvpn to my house, it works as expected from outside i can access everything as needed. What i want to do though is to be able to tell if someone is connected, im not bothered who that may be but i cant seem to find a way to do this. Is there a simple command to see just how many people are connected to the server the more details the better but really just is it in use. I dont use a gui just command line...
