Chromebook VPN

Post by tom__w » Fri Mar 23, 2018 10:02 pm

OK .. so I am a complete NOOB with this. I was able to setup my OpenVPN server on a PFSense router using the step by step instructions. It works and I even have Windows users VPN'ing in as well as a site to site tunnel setup. But ask me what every cert is and does ... clueless.

So now the problem:

Does anyone have a step by step setup guide for installing OpenVPN on a Chromebook? I've tried a number of things but I eventually end up with this error on the server side:

Mar 23 17:50:17 openvpn 7921 TLS Error: cannot locate HMAC in incoming packet from [AF_INET]71.172.94.75:35469

I am using steps listed here:
https://proxy.sh/panel/knowledgebase/24 ... me-OS.html

Thanks in advance

Thank you for the link .. but I was really looking for a step by step, specific to a Chromebook.

We have no such guide ..
and from what you have posted, you don't need one, just read the usual documentation.

TLS Error: cannot locate HMAC in incoming packet
means you have probably forgotten --tls-auth
