Repository http://swupdate.openvpn.net/apt not being updated

Post by meta24 » Sat Jul 29, 2017 12:25 pm

I installed OpenVPN on Ubuntu trusty a while ago. I added the "http://swupdate.openvpn.net/apt" repository and all was great.

Today I noticed that i did not have the latest version of OpenVPN. In fact, I was still on version 2.3.14.

I then noticed that the repository is not being updated since February! There is no error message.

If the repository is no longer being updated it should be deleted so people will notice and replace it with another one.

For the record, I replaced it with http://build.openvpn.net/debian/openvpn/stable

I hope that will work in the future!

That page does not mention the old unmaintained repository. It does not mention that the URL was changed.

My request still stands: The old repository should be deleted so people will learn that they are no longer being updated.
