Windows 11 compatibility

Post by joeson » Mon Nov 29, 2021 1:22 pm

Dear supporters!

After updating to Windows 11, I could start OpenVPNConnect just once. It told me that I should update. I did it. Since then, it doesn't start any more.
I also tried uninstalling and re-installing OpenVPN Connect, But it still does not start.

Might the current release be incompatible with Windows 11 while an older one was?
What can I do?

Thanks in advance for you helpful comments!
Joe

Hello Joe,

This might be something new that only occurs on Windows 11. However we've tested on Windows 11, and the current release is compatible with Windows 11. This might be some unique problem that occurs in specific circumstances like you described. I'd suggest sending a ticket in to https://openvpn.net/support and the support personnel there will likely ask you for more information like connection and installation logs and such to determine what's going on.

Kind regards,
Johan
