Settings - Compression full

Post by semper1 » Mon Nov 08, 2021 7:25 am

Hello,

i have been searching the forums and google for a few hours now and i can't seem to find a solution for my recent problem.
I am looking for the PLIST Documentation for the OpenVPN Connect app. Is there a way to export the PLIST of a device having the needed settings already set?

I have found quite some Examples here how to set PLIST up, but not for the Value inside the App "Settings" - "Compression", i need to set this to "full" otherwise my vpn won't connect. The examples i found always set the value comp-lzo empty(<string>NOARGS</string>) but i think it is not the one i am looking for.
I hope someone can help me out with this

thank you

Hello semper1,

Manipulation of settings can be done in the GUI or it can be done on the command line. There is a command to turn the compression to the desired settings. Manual manipulation of the PLIST file is not something we anticipate or support. I understand that for iOS there is no command line you can use. So I'm sorry I can't provide a complete answer for you here.

See here for command line parameters:

As a sidenote, you should look into turning compression off. It is vulnerable to the Voracle attack. See also this security advisory: https://openvpn.net/security-advisory/t ... erability/

Kind regards,
Johan
