2 step auth vpn

Post by robby » Mon Aug 09, 2021 7:36 pm

I am currently using 2 step auth with Cisco DUO using openvpn as a client. Without using the MFA everything works fine from IOS it connects no problem.

When I set it up using DUO 2 step auth on a desktop/laptop it works fine with out an issue. You put the code in and it sends a push notification to the DUO app and it authenticates.

When using the IOS openvpn app with MFA enabled when it tries to send the authentication to our radius server it never gets there and it seems to just throw a basic can not connect error.

Is there a way to see a log in IOS of what might be going on?

Anyone have any ideas why this would not work?

Thats my issue. The open vpn app on IOS does not hit the server when trying to log in for some reason. Thats why I am looking for the ios log.

If there is nothing in your server log then you client is not connected.

Yes I know. I am trying to figure out why the client can not connect. I have tested on both android and ios. Trying to see if there are app logs for the open vpn app on ios and android. Not sure why these can not connect. As I said i know it works cause when I use a windows with open vpn it connects no problem.
