How to add a .ovpn file? There's no next or save.

Post by twisted5000 » Wed Jun 02, 2021 6:50 pm

Hello, I'm trying to import a .ovpn to OpenVPN. I follwed the steps:

Replace YOUR_SERVER_IP with public IP.
*Remove # before "redirect-gateway def1"
Add a line "setenv CLIENT_CERT 0" in the end of VPNConfig.ovpn.

Renamed the file to what I wanted it to be. I also kept the name the same. After doing the login/password I select connect after import. There's no way to save it. After I select connect after import noting happens. So how do I get it to save the updated settings? The OpenVPN Connect app for ios gives you no option, unless I missed something. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hello twisted5000,

On iOS platforms, there should be a huge orange button at the bottom that says 'import'. It might be hidden by the keyboard, you should be able to collapse the keyboard and see and use that button. If you still have problems it would be helpful if you sent in a report at https://openvpn.net/support explaining your issue, a screenshot of what you're experiencing, and what iOS and OpenVPN Connect v3 version you're using. We can then look into the situation.

Kind regards,
Johan
