.ovpn iPhone import | Failed to Import Profile

On my iPhone I tried to transfer my .ovpn profile.
I get the following error message for every option you can do:

--SNIP
Failed to Import Profile
cannot open for read:/var/mobile...
--SNAP

I tried it with Mail.
I downloaded it from a website using Safari.
Always the same error.
Unfortunately iTunes does not offer apps anymore.

When I try it via url import it comes up asking for username and password. If I then click "Import" the image remains black.

Does anyone have any ideas?
