How to keep alive the VPN connection on an iphone/IOS device

Post by Rharris » Tue Aug 14, 2018 3:04 am

Hi Support,

The issue is I have apps (eg: PBX and XMPP) and email as well that rely on that connection. therefor i want to keep the connection alive so I will be able to receive incoming at any time.

Is there a way or any configuration on server side that needed to set on how the ovpn client will keep alive the connection so the iphone will not go to sleep mode or idle state? everything works fine for the server and the client as well, using desktop and android devices everything works fine but on IOS if the phone got idle for long time and go to sleep mode the ovpn client also shutdown. is there a solution for this? or any configuration that can be achieve to prevent that IOS/iphone to keep the connection alive?

Thank you

Regards,
Harris
