Works in Chrome, not in apps?

I set up my OpenVPN connection following this guide: https://xlery.wordpress.com/2014/04/06/ ... -firmware/. It works fine in Chrome - I can browse my LAN. I can get the web page for my Plex and the web page for my security cameras. There are apps for both of these though - if I go into the app and specify the IP addresses, neither works. The camera app says Connecting forever and the Plex app said cannot contact server when I manually configure the server with the IP and port.

Is there some setting that I need to enable in order to allow specific apps to connect? I kind of doubt it but not sure what else could be the issue.
