Since upgrade to iOS 10.15.1 I have been able to connect to Nighthawk VPN server but the apparent public IP is unchanged. I upgraded to latest version of Tunnelblick. I am getting the same issue: Here is the log:

Did you ever figure out a solution for this? I am running Mac OS X 10.14.6 and am seeing the same problem. I can access the VPN fine on my iPhone 11 Pro Max with IOS 13.3 so the Nighthawk R8500 VPN is working. Just not on Mac OS X 10.14.6. I also tried on an older Macbook Pro with OS X 10.12.6 and same thing. This use to work but I haven't used it in a while so not sure when Mac OS X client stopped working.
