Cannot install OpenVPN Connect v1.1.1 via iTunes v184.108.40.206 onto an iPhone 6s with iOS v11.0.2 (iTunes complains that it is not compatible with iOS 11.0.2), but OpenVPN Connect v1.1.1 will install onto an iPhone 6s with iOS v11.0.2 over a cellular network via the App Store. But this workflow ignores the reason for using a VPN in the first place. Weird or what?
As an aside, unlike it's desktop counterpart, when turning on an iOS device, OpenVPN needs to be connected manually. So initially background tasks will be accessing the internet unprotected by a VPN until you navigate your way to that connect button.
Anyone out there with any ideas on why any of the above is so?
