Android Connect (Samsung S7 Edge) + Miracast (Sony TV KDL-32W653A)

Hi all,

I can successfully mirror my Samsung S7 Edge screen on my Sony KDL-32W653A TV via its Miracast function.

However, when I connect to a VPN with OpenVPN Connect on the Android phone, I am no longer able to make the screen-mirroring connection.

I have tried connecting to both a 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi LAN on the phone to deliver the VPN connection. The TV has a wired LAN connection.

My understanding is the the 2.4GHz spectrum is used by the TV to Miracast: http://docs.esupport.sony.com/imanual/N ... rated.html

Given Miracast works as expected without an OpenVPN Connect session running, any ideas how I can configure OpenVPN Connect to run at the same time as Miracast?
