Trying to understand PKI and set-up VPN server on windows 7. Have installed latest openvpn for windows, after some confusing time discovery the easyrsa is no longer bundled with openvpn. Download easyrsa3, unzip it to disc and try to step by step follow this tutorial https://www.alanbonnici.com/2018/01/howto-setup-openvpn-server-and-client.html

Unfortunatelly on second step (gen-dh) got error message:

sed: can't read c:/easy-rsa/distro/windows/pki/openssl-easyrsa.cnf: No such file or directory

Easy-RSA error:

Failed to update c:/easy-rsa/distro/windows/pki/safessl-easyrsa.cnf

What am I doing wrong?

What version of EasyRSA are you using?

Because we can not provide support for third party documentation (as you might expect)
I suggest you report the problem to the author of the tutorial you are using.
