PKCS12 file for Chomebook

Post by Bappy1988 » Wed Apr 20, 2016 1:10 pm

Hi

I have a windows 7 x64 server at home that's running a 32bit build of openvpn (can't remember exactly which build)

My android, windows and ios clients all connect absolutely fine.

I'm now trying to connect a chromebook....

According to the internets this is quite possible with lots of people succeeding, and several tutorials to that effect e.g. http://errietta.me/blog/openvpn-chromebook/

I have created my crt, key etc as per usual, I have successfully imported CA.crt on the chromebook's list of authorities etc etc but unfortunately, no matter what I try with the generation of the p12 file, my chromebook simply refuses to import it. I've tried several iterations, include the certfile or not including it, adding passwords or no, using a 'name' element or not... It simply will not accept the file. It says the file is invalid or corrupt.

Has anyone else here had any success in creating p12 files for a chromebook?

I have an ASUS C100P (the 'flip')
Version 49.0.2623.112
Platform 7834.70.0 (Official Build) stable-channel veyron_minnie
Firmware Google_Veyron_Minnie.6588.171.0

I don't have the version info of my openvpn setup to hand... as I'm not at home and I can't import my p12!

Any advice would be gratefully received.
