OpenVPN vs SoftEther

SoftEther VPN compares itself against OpenVPN on its homepage.
I would like to know if their statements are still correct as I cannot find any independent information about it expect '6 Free and Best Open source VPN Server Software' on HOW2SHOUT what is a bit limited.
I'm particularly interested in hiding/tunnling my VPN connecting to allow myself to access my NAS at time from any place.


SoftEther VPN gives the impression that they can penetrate more firewalls than OpenVPN although most resources about SSL or SSH tunnelling refer to OpenVPN. In addition there are project as obfuscation proxy / Obfsproxy.


SoftEther VPN say OpenVPN has no significant improvement in recent years and showing this table:
