Clients can connect to RDP but not internet

Post by brandonmack111 » Fri Jun 21, 2019 3:41 pm

I have a working server and client config, where everything is connecting fine, and clients can access the local network, but I cannot seem to get it set up where we can also browse the internet or use any internet-based apps on the client machines. It's a Windows 2012R2 server, and I have all different types of clients. Here's the configs for each:

server

push "dhcp-option DNS 8.8.8.8"
push "dhcp-option DNS 2001:4860:4860::8888"

port 1194

proto udp

dev tun

ca "C:\\Program Files\\OpenVPN\\config\\ca.crt"
cert "C:\\Program Files\\OpenVPN\\config\\server.crt"
key "C:\\Program Files\\OpenVPN\\config\\server.key"

dh "C:\\Program Files\\OpenVPN\\config\\dh2048.pem"

server 10.8.0.0 255.255.255.0
ifconfig-pool-persist ipp.txt

push "redirect-gateway def1 bypass-dhcp"

duplicate-cn #for now, since we're still testing our configs

keepalive 10 120

cipher AES-256-CBC

persist-key
persist-tun

status openvpn-status.log

verb 6
explicit-exit-notify 1

client

client
dev tun
proto udp
remote [ REMOVED ] 1194
resolv-retry infinite
nobind
persist-key
persist-tun
cipher AES-256-CBC
verb 3

[ INLINE CA CERT REMOVED ]

[ INLINE CERT REMOVED ]

[ INLINE KEY REMOVED ]

I added the DHCP pushes on the server because someone said that would fix it - but clearly it hasn't. I'd love to understand what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it, so I can know what to do in future. Thanks in advance!
