Simple client-server setup

Hello,
I am new to openvpn and vpn in general.
I installed openvpn_as on my linux box on the cloud. I want to have 1 client connect to this server through the internet and access files located on the server itself. Is this possible? Or do I need to have a separate file server connect to the access server itself?
