OpenVPN AS NATmode

Post by topazz » Fri Jan 13, 2012 2:31 pm

Hi!

I have an openvpnas 1.5.6 that work for a long time in L3 (routing / NAT) mode.
It so happened that before this time, I used only static ip and Routing mode. And there was no problems.

When adding a new user I chose:
Select addressing method: Use NAT
and added to the networks that I need to access via VPN.

when I try to connect to a remote host via VPN it turned out that the connection comes from IP an address pool that is specified in VPN Settings -> Dynamic IP Address Network. Not from eth0 address. So there is no NAT. And I didn,t find any description of NATpool

It looks like misconfiguration. All solutions is for openvpn by adding iptables rule for nat POSTROUTING/MASQUERADE.
I can add rules for nat, but iptables rules change when you change the configuration Openvpnas.

What changes I must do in web configuration of openvpnas to use NAt mode for some users?
And I didn't find any description of NATpool in openvpnas web config.
