Client login error group error

Post by wuyuetianjian » Thu Aug 05, 2021 11:11 am

I log in to openvpn through the client, and the server reports a problem with the group
The error content is as follows:
VPN Auth Failed: "group assignment failed: referenced group 'testgroup' either does not exist or does not define group_subnets: omi/auth:618,internet/defer:1418,sagent/usersvc:1379,sagent/usersvc:642,sagent/usersvc:149,sagent/usersvc:276,sagent/usersvc:262,sagent/usersvc:229 (pyovpn.sagent.usersvc.GroupError)" [None]

Hello wuyuetianjian,

You can resolve this by setting a default group IP address pool under VPN Settings, or by setting an IP address pool on the group itself and set an auto-assign range for the clients in that group.

Basically a user is being assigned to a group, and that group doesn't have a subnet set and there is no default group pool to fall back on either.

Kind regards,
Johan
